The project has been commissioned by the Municipality of Bolzano as part of the integrated and coordinated design ( preliminary, schematic and detail design), including the internal and external fornitures design.
The school project contains the set of concepts and moreover all of construction techniques deriving from bio-architecture (wood). A fundamental prerequisite to ensure a better quality standard for end users and, at the same time, a capacity of the building organism to interact with the external environment by reducing its impact on the reference context.

The entire building process that gave life to the new school structure has been progressively composed based on sustainable construction and technological processes that, in addition to ensure a low maintenance and management cost, has led to the achievement of low energy consumption, a high thermal comfort, a particular attention to the health and well-being of the people and respect for the environment, allowing in this way obtaining the CasaClima School certification.

The presence of young guests meant that particular attention was paid to brightness changes create a dynamically variable lighting in an ergonomically sensible way, (with intuitive, automatic or individual controls), taking into account the heat input, the light direction , glare direction , solar shading, visual contact, the seasons or use of the different rooms.
Home automation contributes to making the school complex efficient and functional through pre-set scenarios, where lights, motorized blinds, heating, load management, ventilation, etc. they will work according to pre-established times, to the needs of operators and users and according to the climatic and / or atmospheric characteristics (temperatures, rain water, sunlight).
